Product Description

Innovative Design

The versatile fixing system used on the 8.7m wide canopy allows for a varying distance from 4.5mtr up to 8.6mtr between the shipping containers, you simply end up with more or less of the container/s being covered by the canopy.  For all canopy widths, several canopies can be linked end to end to create a structure spanning several containers in length.  A connecting PVC fabric ‘flashing’ strip can be supplied to seal the gap between the containers. This would normally measure 20cm wide, but we can manufacture wider strips if you wish to create a space between the ends of the containers to create additional personnel access.

100% Protection

The PVC-coated fabric cladding is flame retardant and waterproof, providing shelter from rain, bright sunlight, and other climatic conditions. The cover is manufactured in 2mtr wide strips which fasten to each of the steel arches using a ‘keder’ beading fixing system, similar to that used for caravan awnings.  This not only makes the cover installation much easier but also allows individual sections to be replaced if one gets damaged. The standard colour is white, although other options are available. Coloured covers take a little longer as they are made to order, a surcharge also applies.  Your company logo can also be added.

Various options are available for the ends. They can be left completely open; supplied with ‘D’ panels; fully closed; fully closed with a personnel access door, or supplied with double hinged doors - the most popular option being a fully closed rear with the front supplied with a ‘D’ panel.

Relocatable Shelter

The canopy can be easily dismantled and re-erected as and when the need arises. A typical construction time for a 40ft long container canopy would be two days for three people and would require the use of a scissor lift.  We offer a full, nationwide installation service starting from £1,495.00 plus VAT, depending on the various options and your geographical location.

Our typical turnaround time for manufacture and delivery is 2-6 weeks, depending on the delivery location and timing of order.

No Planning Permission Required

The containers themselves provide the ballast to secure the canopy, so no concrete foundations are required. This means the container canopy can be classified as a truly temporary structure and therefore not subject to planning consent or building regulations. Exceptions to this rule may apply depending on local council restrictions i.e. if you are siting in an area considered 'outstanding natural beauty' or are changing the use of land. We recommend always checking with your local planning authority if unsure.

Container Canopy

Reduce Your Costs

Storage costs are a frustrating addition to many company budgets. Finding space in which to keep produce and equipment always seems to be more expensive than you expect, and often more than you have budgeted for. Container canopies are a useful way to increase your storage space without having to shell out a huge amount of money.

Often used in agriculture for storing produce, machinery and animal feed; in construction and civil engineering to create temporary ‘dry’ work & storage areas; transport/haulage companies to create dry loading areas; and across a general range of industries to create low-cost dry storage areas, especially for plant hire and grounds maintenance machinery.
